Ce De Candy Company Limited has been owned and operated by three generations of the Dee family since 1963!

Edward “Eddie” Dee began the Canadian company on Queen Street in downtown Toronto.

In 1988, the company built and subsequently moved to its present location in Newmarket, Ontario to make more Rockets and “Smarties,” as they are called in the United States.

Eddie, his sons and granddaughters all currently work together under the same roof at their Union, New Jersey location where they also make American Smarties. The building on Queen Street is still there but was converted to the Candy Factory Lofts!

You can find Rockets and other Ce De Candy products in pharmacies, mass merchandisers, wholesale clubs, specialty shops, grocery, dollar, convenience and local corner stores.

He was created by Elzie Crisler Segar and first appeared in the King Features comic strip Thimble Theater on January 17, 1929.
